July 22, 2015 Bergen County - This past week Hipatia Lopez, creator of the Empanada Fork & Pastry Press attended the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Beauty Health & Wellness Expo as the social media ambassador. She shares her experience below
I had the privilege to attend this event as part of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of NJ social media ambassador and met so many powerful Latinas. The energy at the event was incredible. On Saturday, I went with my daughter. As soon as we walked in – we got our hair done by the stylists Mizani. My daughter had fishtail braiding by Nikki Latty. I had the lovely Styled by Reece do some #heatwave curls and I got a vavavoom look. We loved it! Then we headed to get our makeup done by Milani Cosmetics (eyebrows and lips) & the Glamsquad finished the rest! It was so interesting to learn about so many beauty products that are on the market today. My daughter, Alexa, has curly hair so I wanted to learn how to manage it better. I have pin straight hair and sometimes it bores me so the look I got done was fun and something I would get done again.
I finally met Evette Rios and enjoyed The Latin Kitchen demo! I love the recipes she posts on social media. I introduced her to Empanada Fork and she loved it! Great seeing Latinas United and DeterminedLatina at the expo and talked so much like we already knew each other. The power of social media! Love it!!
On Sunday, I attended event with my Empanada Group and we had a blast as well. I made sure the girls enjoyed the event. They went to Glamsquad. We got great love advice from Sujeiry – Latina’s “Ask Sujeiry.” We networked and brought awareness of my product to many – Empanada Fork! I enjoy meeting other strong, powerful Latinas that work hard to achieve their dreams. We must thrive to see others succeed because than we all rise together!
