This morning I watched my son play lacrosse, remembering back to the first time he ever stepped on a field at age 4. At that moment I thought of the family of Nico Santoli and wonder when they will have the chance to watch their little boy run around a sports field. Nico was diagnosed with unilateral retinoblastoma, a rare childhood cancer of the eyes. He has been under going rigorous treatments at WILS Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Dom Santoli, teacher and football coach at Bergen Catholic spent football season travelling back and forth to Philly coaching his own son in the fight of his life.
Woodcliff Lake UNICO is proud to support the Santoli family by naming Nico the primary beneficiary of its annual beefsteak auction fundraiser. Gene Santoli, also known as “Nonno”, is Nico’s Grandpa and is a founding member of the Woodcliff Lake UNICO Chapter.
UNICO invites members of the community to its annual Beefsteak Dinner & Auction on Saturday, April 13 starting at 6:30pm at St. Joseph’s Regional High School, located in Montvale, NJ. Tickets are $50 per person for this adults only event. To purchase tickets contact Chairperson Maria Jannicelli at 201-962-8362 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
